Visualization

[Back to features page]

There are a number of possible methods for advanced visualization. One example is the 3D visualization of the left ventricle with short axis and long axis slices.

Soon a volume rendering module will be added. An example is shown below, showing a high resolution ex-vivo DE-MRI image. The large white region is a large infarct. Using the volume rendering technique combined with the 3D or 3D+T general segmentation module adds unique possibilites to create intuitive and butiful images. You can visualize only segmented regions, use algebraics to specify and combine opacity and colors. Volume rendering module is currently on hold but will be available once sufficiently improved.

It is possible to do Bulls eye plots of most parameters. Below one example using the standard 17 segment model is shown. You can also plot sector bulls eyes over different numbers of sectors or plot smooth bulls eye plots.

It is possible to create M-mode plots or view all slices at the same time in a movie. Using the built-in movie recorder it is possible to directly create a .avi movie from all on screen moving data, to use in Power Point etc.

There is also a view mode for flow analysis, for more details see the flow features page.
