Segment
Segment is a comprehensive free software package for Medical Image Analysis and Cardiac Image Analysis. It is constructed with cardiovascular MRI (CMR) in mind but it has also been validated using Cardiac CT, and tested using myocardial perfusion SPECT. With the general object segmentation module it can be used for a wide range of Radiology and Cardiology applications.
It is brought to you by Einar Heiberg at the Cardiac MR group, at Lund University, and Medviso AB.
The software is completly free for non commercial research! All we ask in return is that you reference the software properly when publishing scientifically. To learn more on how the software can be free for research see the about page.
Details on commercial use are given here. For commercial use, such as daily clinical routine or usage from research companies you need a commercial license which is provided by the company Medviso AB. The commercial license is FDA 510(k) approved.
